The Link Between How We Think and Our Success

When I watched this TED video, it made me realise just how many people go about their lives doing things with no purpose. How people never question the things they do, say or believe. I like to know the reason behind everything I do. If I don’t know why, I question it and the answer I get has to make logical sense. One of the things I would hate, is for my children to grow up without this mindset.

The Science Behind That New Baby Smell

All mothers know that new baby smell. When you kiss your baby, you don’t just do it with your lips but with your nose too. Any opportunity to smell them gives us calm and wanting more as though it’s a drug. I may be an extreme case but I’m in love with smells that I shouldn’t really be loving like his sweat, his milky breath, even his full nappy. Ok, I’ll stop right there. I bet you’re thinking, “crazy woman”. Continue reading

Versatile Blogger Award

I’ve been so lucky this past week to be nominated for two awards. I’ve posted for the Real Neat Blog Award already. This is for the Versatile Blogger Award which I have been kindly nominated by one of my loyal followers; Miss Cassiopeia. I can not thank you enough for this wonderful complement. It makes everything feel so much more worthwhile when I know that I am connecting with people who enjoy my blog.

  • Thank the person who gave you this award. That’s common courtesy.
  • Include a link to their blog. That’s also common courtesy — if you can figure out how to do it.
  • Next, select 15 blogs/bloggers that you’ve recently discovered or follow regularly. ( I would add, pick blogs or bloggers that are excellent!)
  • Nominate those 15 bloggers for the Versatile Blogger Award — you might include a link to this site.
  • Finally, tell the person who nominated you 7 things about yourself.

I understand that some of the nominees will have received this award before so there is no obligation to accept. If you are on my list then it means that I enjoy seeing you on my reader and are one of my most frequent reads. Thank you for making this experience so much fun and amazingly exciting for me. My best wishes to all of you! x

14 Ways Strong, Fearless Women Tackle The World And Its Challenges

These are so right. I don’t even know which one to comment on because they are equally as important to each other. This is so me. Have to reblog this

Self Love Beauty

All women want to be perceived as strong and fearless, but most aren’t just born with an innate sense of self-confidence or resilience.

No, strong women develop over time. They are ever-evolving, always striving to be the best version of themselves. Like diamonds, the best women are forged under pressure. They are tough on the outside, but radiate from the inside.

Aristotle once said,

“We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act but a habit.”

To that end, here are 14 habits strong, fearless women share:

1. They own up to their mistakes.

Fearless women don’t blame others for their mistakes or try to skirt blame. They own up to their actions and work to remedy any missteps.

2. They learn from the past, instead of dwelling on it.

Nothing good ever comes from living in the past. Strong women don’t dwell on things they can’t change; they live…
